Full-Day Trips from Dubrovnik.

Six full-day private tours — to Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, central Dalmatia and the karst waterfalls of Krka. The only practical way to see these places from Dubrovnik without an overnight stay, in a Mercedes with an English-speaking driver and a flexible schedule.

Why a Full-Day Trip

More reach,
deeper experience.

A half-day keeps you close to Dubrovnik. A full day puts another country, a UNESCO city or a national park within reach — and gives you enough hours on the ground to actually enjoy each. These are the trips for travellers with a free day clear.

Reach three countries

Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, plus the length of Croatia from Split to Korčula — all within a single day from Dubrovnik.

An unhurried day

Twelve hours sounds long until you're standing on Mostar's Old Bridge, swimming under Kravice, and still home for a late dinner. Real time, not rushed time.

The only practical way

Without an overnight stay, public transport, ferries and group coaches simply can't get you there and back in a day. Private is the practical option, not the luxury one.

Built for free days

If you've blocked out a clear day on the calendar, this is what to spend it on. Pick a country, leave the planning to us.

Cross-Border · Passport Required

Three trips,
three borders.

Each of these trips leaves Croatia for the day. Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina are not Schengen — a valid passport is required. Border crossings can be busy in season; we time departures to miss the worst queues.

Within Croatia · No Passport Needed

Three trips,
three Croatias.

A Roman capital, a Venetian island and a karst river — each one shows a Croatia very different from the medieval republic at Dubrovnik. All three stay inside the EU, so a Schengen ID card is enough.

Passport & Border Crossings

What you'll need
at the border.

Three of the six full-day trips leave the EU and Schengen area. Bring your physical passport — not a national ID card. Borders can be busy in peak season (July–August); our departure times are set to miss the worst.

Full-Day vs Half-Day

Got less time?
Try a half-day instead.

If your day's already half booked or you're sailing in on a cruise, a half-day might fit better. Same Mercedes, same drivers — just a shorter route close to Dubrovnik.

Full-Day · 8 – 12 hours

  • Reaches Montenegro, Bosnia, Split or Krka
  • A deeper, unhurried experience
  • Best for: travellers with a free day clear

Half-Day · 4 – 6 hours

  • Stays close — within Croatia, near Dubrovnik
  • Lower price tier, relaxed pace
  • Best for: cruise days, families, packed schedules

Full-Day Reviews

Guests, on the road.

Real reviews from travellers who took one of the six full-day trips with us.

"Skipped a four-hour Montenegro border queue, drank coffee in Perast, climbed Kotor walls before the cruise ships arrived. The day worked because the driver knew the rhythm of the route."

"Mostar in the morning, Kravice in the afternoon. Two countries, one perfect day. Marko, our driver, knew exactly where to park, what to skip, where to eat. Honestly the best 12 hours of our trip."

"Krka in May — almost no one there. Three swim stops, a long walk under the falls, a slow lunch above Visovac. Got back to Dubrovnik late but it was completely worth it."

Full-Day FAQ

Real questions,
real answers.

The questions guests ask most often before a full-day. If yours isn't here, write to us.

What time does a full-day trip start?
Most full-day trips depart between 7am and 8am from your accommodation. Early starts give us a clean border crossing (for Montenegro and Bosnia trips), arrive at the destination before the coach crowds, and leave plenty of time to enjoy lunch and a swim before heading back.
Do I need a passport?
Yes for Montenegro, Mostar & Kravice, and Mostar & Međugorje. Bring a physical passport — Schengen ID cards are not accepted at the BiH or Montenegrin borders. Trips within Croatia (Split, Korčula, Krka) accept EU national ID cards.
Are National Park / entrance fees included?
Not by default — entrance fees and tasting fees are kept separate so you only pay for what you choose. We'll tell you the expected total per person in your offer. Krka, Mljet and museum tickets in Mostar are typically paid on the day.
Where do we have lunch?
We don't include a fixed lunch stop, so you're free to follow appetite and mood. Drivers know the best konobas at each destination and will happily book a table on the way. For Kravice and Krka, light snacks on the road work better than a full sit-down — we'll guide you.
What should I bring?
Passport (for cross-border trips), comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses and a hat in summer, light layers for Mostar in shoulder season, swimsuit and towel for Kravice and Krka. We provide bottled water on board.
What if the weather turns bad?
Full-day trips by car go ahead in almost any weather — we'll always advise if a particular trip is best moved (e.g. Krka in heavy rain). You can reschedule freely up to 48 hours before, and we operate a flexible cancellation policy in extreme weather.
Can I customise a trip?
Yes — most full-day trips can be adjusted (swap a stop, add a viewpoint, finish at a different hotel). For a fully bespoke day, see our Tailor-Made Day Trips page.
