The 30-second answer
Couples and small groups covering ground: speedboat. Six or more who want deck space and a party: catamaran. Long routes, shade, a saloon and a proper table: motor yacht.
Speedboats: four coves before lunch
Our Excursion 34s and 36 are the workhorses of the fleet — open boats built for island-hopping, sun pads fore and aft, a bimini for shade. They cruise at 24 knots, which means the Elaphiti in twenty minutes and four coves before lunch. Up to 12 aboard, though 6–8 is the sweet spot.
Catamarans: deck space and big groups
The Lux Cat Allegra is what you book when the group photo matters: twin bow trampolines, a vast saloon and genuinely stable decks — the boat for birthdays, hen parties and anyone prone to seasickness. The Cat 17 Epidaurum is the events platform: the biggest deck in the fleet, capped like everything else at 12 guests.
Motor yachts: shade, saloon, long days
The Ferretti 591, Azimut 43 and Jeanneau Prestige 440 are for the long routes — Korčula, the Bay of Kotor — and for anyone who wants an air-conditioned saloon to retreat to at 2pm in August. They're also the only boats that sleep aboard: this is where multi-day charter starts.
The honest trade-offs
- Speedboats are fast and fun, but open. On a windy afternoon you'll feel the sea — some guests love that, some don't.
- Catamarans are stable and social, but slower. Plan fewer, longer stops rather than a dash between five islands.
- Yachts carry the comfort, and the fuel bill to match — which is why we quote everything all-inclusive up front, so the comparison is honest.
